I'm pretty sure all those years of not winning anything as a kid are over. For starters, I won a freaking hula hoop contest in January that awarded Aaron and I a free trip to Mexico at the most amazing 5 star boutique hotel you can imagine (more on that in another blog post). For seconders, last month Aaron won free tickets to see Cold Play at Madison Square Garden in NYC. The concert was last night and it was um, pretty amazing. We had excellent seats and danced the entire time. Although I was really hungry (what's new) and wished for a platter of chips and salsa to magically show itself, we loved every free minute of it. We accidentally arrived 2.5 hours early but we greatly enjoyed sitting next to the stage watching the set-up and wondering what the heck they were going to do with the hanging giant-sized globes over their set. Those globes ended up being one of my favorite parts of the concert, next to the music of course, and OH yes next to seeing Chris Rock and Charlize Theron leave the concert at the same time as us. What can I say, we are pretty d*mn lucky. Now if only I could win a contest called You Don't Have to Work Anymore, Here's Some Free Money I would definitely pee my pants.
